2027 GMC Savana: What’s New, What’s Changing, and What Stays the Same

The 2027 GMC Savana is not a redesign. GMC’s long-running full-size van keeps its proven design, engines, and body styles, and the update for 2027 is one your drivers will notice the moment they climb in: a new standard 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, replacing the basic radio from earlier model years. Whether you are outfitting a work fleet or moving a crew or group around Apple Valley and the Twin Cities south metro, this guide covers exactly what is different, plus what carries over.

What Is New on the 2027 Savana

A Standard 7-Inch Touchscreen

Every 2027 Savana, including Cargo, Passenger, and Cutaway models, gets the GMC Infotainment System 3 with a 7-inch HD color touchscreen. It replaces the outgoing AM/FM stereo with MP3 playback, an auxiliary input, and two speakers, and it is the first factory touchscreen offered on the Savana since the 2019 model year.

Bluetooth and 5G Wi-Fi Hotspot Capability

Hands-free Bluetooth calling and Bluetooth audio streaming are now standard, so drivers can take calls and play audio from their phones without aftermarket equipment. The system also adds 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability (an active data plan is required), and the speaker setup varies by model.

What the New System Does Not Confirm Yet

GM has not confirmed Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB media connectivity, or SiriusXM for the 2027 Savana. If any of those matter to your drivers, check with Kunes Apple Valley Buick GMC before you buy.

What Is Changing From the 2026 Savana

Prices Go Up

GMC raised Savana pricing for 2027, with the configurator listing the Savana Cargo from $45,095 and the Savana Passenger from $50,945. Pricing shown does not include taxes, title, license, or dealer fees; ask Kunes Apple Valley Buick GMC for current numbers on a specific van.

The Old Radio Is Retired

The basic AM/FM stereo with an auxiliary input and a digital clock is gone across the lineup, replaced by the new touchscreen system.

What Stays the Same

The Savana keeps the body-on-frame construction and powertrains that fleets know well: a 4.3L V6 with 276 horsepower or a 6.6L V8 with 401 horsepower, with rear-wheel drive and 2500 and 3500 series offered in regular and extended wheelbase lengths. A Tow/Haul mode and StabiliTrak stability control continue to help when the van is loaded or pulling a trailer, and the physical climate control knobs remain, so you can still adjust the heat and A/C without going through a screen. Standard GM warranty coverage applies as usual (3 years or 36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper and 5 years or 60,000 miles on the powertrain).

What Is New on Each 2027 Savana Model

Savana Cargo

The work van gains the 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth as standard, with a reported starting price of $45,095. It is still offered in 2500 and 3500 series with regular or extended wheelbase and the V6 or V8, and it remains a common base for upfits like shelving, ladder racks, and partitions.

Savana Passenger

The people mover also gets the new touchscreen, with a reported starting price of $50,945. Seating for up to 12 or 15 passengers, depending on configuration, carries over, making it a fit for church groups, shuttles, schools, and teams.

Should You Buy a 2026 Savana or a 2027?

Go with the 2027 if your drivers want a touchscreen and Bluetooth streaming without adding aftermarket equipment. A leftover 2026 can make more sense if a discount beats the price increase, or if you plan to install your own fleet radio or telematics setup anyway. Either way, we will work through the numbers with you, with no pressure. We make it EASY!
